We have successfully completed the technical acceptance of the mechanical components of the B-1200/AC-2m/s hoisting machine, which will soon be delivered to one of the divisions of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. The project included a comprehensive solution encompassing the delivery and installation of the machine, replacement of signaling devices, foundation modernization, and preparation of technical documentation. The project was carried out by MWM Elektro in collaboration with mining supervision authorities, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards.
The B-1200/AC-2m/s hoisting machine – robust technologies for the industry
The B-1200/AC-2m/s hoisting machine will serve as an essential component of the shaft hoisting system in the SG-1 shaft. Its primary applications include emergency evacuation operations as well as inspection and repair tasks. It features advanced technical solutions, including a 90 kW AC motor, a control system based on PLC controllers, and a state-of-the-art signaling and shaft communication system utilizing fiber optic technology.
Designed with safety and efficiency in mind, the machine allows for a hoisting speed of up to 2 m/s. Its power system is integrated with a generator set, ensuring uninterrupted operation at full performance parameters even in the event of a primary power source outage.

The machine is distinguished by its robust construction and modern solutions, enabling reliable long-term use in demanding mining conditions. By combining advanced technology with thoughtful design, it ensures both user safety and operational efficiency, making it a critical asset in the daily operations of the mine.
Next steps in the project
Following the transport of the machine, we will proceed with its installation and commissioning. We are confident that the mechanical components, prefabricated by our subcontractor, will meet all client expectations and align with their strategy for the development and modernization of shaft hoisting infrastructure.
