For years, we have been delivering proven mechanical safety solutions for the heavy industry and other sectors that require the highest level of operational security. Among the products we offer are the RA1 and RA1-Ex shaft door locking devices – designed to provide effective protection against unauthorized door opening.
The RA1 lock operates automatically – closing the door triggers the locking mechanism, which effectively prevents accidental or unauthorized access. Unlocking occurs after a signal is received from the control system, without the need for operator intervention. In emergency situations, the lock can be released manually from either the shaft vessel side or the landing side.
Thanks to the use of high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials, the RA1 lock performs reliably in the harsh conditions of underground mining operations as well as in other industrial environments.
The device is available in two variants:
-
RA1P – right-hand version
-
RA1L – left-hand version
with optional power supply of 24 VDC or 24 VAC.
In addition, the lock is equipped with a latch position sensor, which allows for easy integration with automation and monitoring systems.
RA1-Ex Lock – ATEX-Certified for explosion hazard zones
We are currently undergoing a certification process that will enable us to offer the RA1-Ex lock for sale – a version designed for operation in environments with methane and coal dust explosion hazards. The certification procedure is nearing completion, and we plan to make this model available in the coming weeks.
The RA1-Ex version is intended for use in underground workings classified as methane explosion hazard zones of category “a”, “b”, or “c”, and coal dust hazard classes A or B. Its operating principle will be the same as that of the RA1 lock.
The RA1-Ex lock will meet the highest explosion protection standards. It will feature a NAMUR-standard intrinsically safe proximity sensor and a flameproof enclosure.
