Contract: “Modernisation of the mining shaft hoisting machine in the western compartment of shaft III of KWK ROW PGG Sp. z o.o. “Marcel” Mining Plant” implemented as a turnkey project.
The K-5500/DC-16m/s hoisting machine is a single-cable hoisting machine with a Koepe wheel with a diameter of 5500 mm, installed in the building located by the shaft entry. The machine, as part of a mining shaft hoist, is provided for:
The machine is controlled automatically from the control panels at the signalling stations (transport of personnel, materials and inspection) and manually from the machine operator panel.

The hoisting machine is adapted for power supply from the 6 kV grid through two 6/0.475 kV converter transformers. This power supply system allows operation with 12-pulse interaction of the drive with the 6 kV power grid. In the event of a failure in the power circuit of one of the thyristor converters of the primary circuit, there is the possibility of emergency operation using the second converter included in the described power circuit. In this state, the speed reached by the machine is reduced by half, but there is no limitation on the lifting capacity.
The excitation circuit is powered from the 500 V mains via a converter transformer.
The drive motor is powered by two non-reversible thyristor converters type DCS800 with a rated current of 2750A connected in series. The excitation circuit of the motor is supplied by a reverse excitation converter type DCS800 with a rated current of 350 A.

The entire control, regulation and protection systems are based on programmable controllers and other components produced by reputable companies.
All relevant functions displaying the operating states of the hoisting machine are included in the on-screen visualisation system.
The hoisting machine works with the newly installed shaft signalling and communications equipment, communicating with it in two paths, by electrical connections and through communication links.
