We present MWM Elektro’s latest completed projects. This is the modernisation of the hoisting machine of a mine shaft hoist, together with the development of full multi-discipline detailed and as-built technical documentation.

The scope of the task included:

• installation of a completely new power supply and DC motor drive control system for the hoisting machine,
• replacement of the machine control, visualisation and diagnostics system,
• replacement of existing two-compartment switchgear with three-compartment switchgear,
• replacement of 500V and 400/230V auxiliary switchgear,
• replacement of the lighting installation including installation of independent emergency lighting in the machine building,
• modifications of the shaft signalling and communication equipment,
• preparing the necessary documentation, supply and installation of equipment,
• carrying out the procedures for approving the equipment for use in mining operations and commissioning the supplied equipment.
